Parallax Center is now offering the PROMETA protocol as a way to combat stimulant dependency (methamphetamine, cocaine and crack) and make a powerful, positive impact on the lives of families and communities in New York affected by addiction.

Parallax Center continues to advance as an innovative, multidisciplinary leader in the chemical dependence field. The PROMETA protocol is the latest addition to Parallax' s treatment options, therefore expanding treatment strategies for alcohol*, cocaine, and methamphetamine abuse. According to research, abstinence and relapse prevention success rates increase with a coordinated approach including psychopharmacology, psychosocial, and cognitive and behavioral therapies.

The PROMETA protocol is designed to further these goals in people who have had problems with chronic abuse of alcohol, cocaine and methamphetamine in a number of ways:

• Stabilization of altered brain chemistry due to chronic abuse of these substances.
• Enhancement of cognitive functioning.
• Enhancement of mood.
• Decreased cravings.
